Join the Upper Thames Branch of Butterfly Conservation on a trip to the BBOWT's Warburg Nature Reserve: a remote and magnificent wildlife gem, nestling in a quiet valley in the Chiltern Hills. It supports extensive broadleaved woodland, with open rides and glades, rich in exciting plants and animals. It supports a particularly fine range of orchids.
We will explore the rides and pathways, searching out the different butterflies and other wildlife. Target species: Purple Hairstreak and other woodland species.
Accessibility - mostly wide, grassy paths but fairly steep in places; can be muddy. Benches. Mobility vehicles are sometimes available - please contact BBOWT directly: 01865 788311. Toilet facilities on site.
Meet at the Reserve car park.
