Join the Upper Thames Branch of Butterfly Conservation on a trip to the 'Sustrans Track' at East Hagbourne: this is a repeat of the fascinating evening walks exploring what butterflies get up to in outside the normal 'transect' hours. However, Karen Saxl has now handed over the baton to a new leader. Our route follows the route of the disused railway track, which offers expansive views over the surrounding countryside, and supports an interesting variety of flora and fauna.
We will amble along the track checking out the wildflowers and 'sun traps' for 'nectaring' and sun-bathing butterflies before they go to roost. Target species: Marbled White, Small Blue and other butterflies of the wider countryside.
Accessibility - level and firm surface.
Meet at the Village Hall, East Hagbourne.
