Meet Howletts’ Capybaras this May Half Term

Come and meet Betty, Gavin, Graham and Molly, Howletts’ herd of Capybaras this half term and enjoy 25% off of your tickets when booking in advance online.

Capybaras are the world's largest rodents and are closely related to guinea pigs, although weigh between 35 – 65kg. They inhabit savannah and dense forest along the Amazon and are great swimmers, with the ability to remain underwater for up to five minutes.

The Capybaras at Howletts are located next door to Kent’s only giant anteaters Zet and Fidji close to the park entrance.

For those wanting to enhance their visit, why not consider an animal encounter? With prices starting from £15 per person, animal encounters not only offer the chance to get up close and personal with some of the most rare and endangered animals on the planet, but also create memories that will last forever. Find out more about the encounters and availability here.

Howletts Wildlife Park and Conservation is home to over 390 animals in total, including the UK’s largest herd of African elephants. Guests can discover some of the world’s most endangered animals and join the free ranger talks to find out more about gorillas, rhino, elephants and big cats.
