Our summer concert is a performance of Joby Talbot’s evocative and thrilling “Path of Miracles”. The evening will take you on a musical and visual journey along the mediaeval Camino de Santiago, in the wonderful acoustic of Christ Church, Skipton, and features projection design by award-winning Camilla Tassi.
Each of the four movements of this a capella work represents a staging post on the pilgrimage route. The experience of pilgrims past and present is depicted through mediaeval texts, Roman Catholic liturgy and contemporary poetry. The texts are set to extraordinary music with eclectic themes ranging from 12th century Jacobean chant to indigenous Taiwanese vocal technique.
We will be delighted to welcome you to this unique and exciting event.
