The Kendal Mountain Tour is back…
The Kendal Mountain Tour is returning for their second event of the year with a brand new collection of films. Get ready for an inspiring evening of film and talks celebrating adventure, brought to you by the world's biggest mountain Festival - Kendal Mountain Festival.
This unique collection will take you from the River Thames to the Karakoram mountains, sharing stories of endurance, talent and innovation. Each film will be introduced by the Kendal Mountain Festival team and the film collection is entirely new for this second 2023 Tour event.
The Guest Speaker:
Alongside the collection of adventure films, will be a talk from adventure cameraman Matt Pycroft. Join Matt as he shares never-heard-before insights from his expedition to the depths of the Amazon jungle with climber Leo Houlding, his recent National Geographic series documenting an expedition led by Alex Honnold in Greenland, abandoned Soviet nuclear missile silos and what happened when he was arrested by the Russian military. As Matt says wryly, things don't always go according to plan.
Community Group:
We’re also joined by Peace of Green whose work centres around creating opportunities to bond with the living natural world, develop curiosity, form friendships and share time in nature. Based in the East Midlands they run a variety of outdoor based sessions for frontline staff, people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties and women who have experienced domestic violence.

Expect exhilarating and moving tales from those creating waves in the worlds of climbing, mountaineering, paragliding, mountain biking and running.
