Zoe is from Chichester and her guitar performance career began at the Regis School of Music in Bognor with the Barnett family's memorable performance of 'Chinese Takeaway' with guitar ukelele , gong and triangle. Her innate musical ability shown at an early age and an insatiable passion for the guitar afforded her the West Sussex Youth Music award in 2018 and a scholarship to the Royal College of Music to study under Gary Ryan and Chris Stell.
She was winner of the Sussex Young Musician Competition is 2022. She made her debut performance at the world-renowned Wigmore Hall as part of the RCM Superstrings event. She performed the new International Guitar Foundation commission 'The mist' by Zenyan Li at the Kings place in 2022. Zoe has collaborated with the music channel 'Forte sessions' , known for taking Classical music to new environments.
West Sussex Guitar Club is delighted that she is returning to the stage from whence she came, to perform a repertoire that will include three Persian Folk Songs by the Iranian guitarist/composer Lily Afshar, Brouwer's sonata no.3 and the Suite Compostelana by Mompou.
