Dyrham Park will be jampacked with play activities this summer holidays. With creative, active and more traditional game play options, there’s something for everyone to try. Summer of Play is sponsored by Starling Bank.
Young ones can create a culinary masterpiece in the play kitchen at Old Lodge, or make a chalk work of art on big boards or tablecloths.
Down by the house on the grass will be sports to try inspired by local 17th-century enthusiast Robert Dover’s ‘Olimpick’ games. These will include running and skipping races on the lawn, bean bag throwing challenges, hula hooping, balance boards and beams. Top it off with a picture on the podium.
Laid out in the orchard area will be traditional games such as giant jenga, quoits and dominoes.
Follow the signs from visitor reception to get stuck in.
