Abergavenny's Suitcase Theatre Company brings you a new dramatisation of Charles Dickens's classic novel. Pip's desire to leave his home at the forge, where he is apprentice to the blacksmith, Joe Gargery, is made possible by the unexpected news that he has great expectations. Where have these expectations come from The identity of his patron is to remain a mystery. The money, however, allows young Pip to fulfil his dream of becoming a gentleman. But one rainy night the past catches up with Pip, and a knock at the door brings him face to face with an unexpected dose of reality.
