Walk to keep your local Air Ambulance flying
Join us this October for an exciting Heli Hike in Sussex through Cowdray Estate, West Sussex. Take part in a sponsored walk, choosing between a 3 or 7.5-mile journey through the beautiful Sussex countryside.
Afterward, enjoy a hero’s welcome back at the event village including:
-Music and a glass of fizz to celebrate
-Food Stalls, tea, coffee and cake to satisfy your cravings
-Glitter Bar for some extra fun and sparkle
-Ice Cream to cool off and indulge in a sweet treat
-Capture a memory at our selfie station
-Meet the crew and see how they save lives
After you sign up to Heli Hike, we ask you to try and raise £100 and become a life-saving hero. If you and two friends collectively raise £300, you could help fund enough fuel for one life-saving helicopter call out.
How does Heli Hike in Sussex help
Over 500 people in Sussex needed our life-saving care last year. Most of those people experienced a road traffic collision or underwent a medical emergency such as a cardiac arrest or stroke.
When there’s a life-or-death call, we bring specialised doctors, paramedics and treatment to the scene, fast. And we don’t stop. 24/7, 365 days a year. Without you hiking, we can’t keep flying. Without you hiking we can’t keep saving lives.
However 87% of our funding comes from people like you. Without you, we can’t keep flying, without you we can’t keep saving lives.
