Weymouth Octoberfest, organised by members of West Dorset Campaign for Real Ale; (CAMRA) makes a welcome return to Weymouth Pavilion on Friday & Saturday October 6th & 7th, and this year sees an all Welsh beer and cider theme. The festival is held in the pavilion Ocean room and has spectacular views of Weymouth bay attracting beer and cider drinkers from near and far.
Committee member and CAMRA bar manager Rich Gabe said” Weymouth Octoberfest gives us a chance to bring something different to Weymouth every year. Over the years we have covered the full length of the British Isles from beers from Cornwall to Scotland and this year it’s the turn to high-light Wales”
The festival hopes to have around 60 Welsh beers and at least a dozen ciders all from Wales and the Marches area. For the first time at a West Dorset CAMRA event we will have a Welsh guest brewer who will also be showing some interesting new style craft beers from the Vale of Glamorgan brewery. This is by far the largest selection of Welsh beers ever to be showcased ever in Dorset.
