Friday Night Dance Party: Youth Dance with Stopgap Dance Company
Come along for some Friday night moving, grooving and making new friends. Learn some new dance moves in a fun environment where disabled and non-disabled dancers are all welcome.
Led by Stopgap teachers and supported by volunteers we explore dance exercises and work
on choreography for a variety of opportunities in the community.
Stopgap Dance Company is a world-renowned international dance company of disabled and non-disabled artists who pioneer inclusive choreography and dance training. We also run a range of youth and adult dance groups across the Southeast of England and have been working within the community for over 20 years. These provide stimulating experiences for enthusiastic participants, acting as a pipeline for the next generation of diverse dancers. We are passionate about providing young disabled people routes into dance, whether that be for fun or as a profession.
Stopgap is passionate about creating an environment where everyone can enjoy dance. By using dance as a movement for change, our vision is to create an inclusive world where diversity is not just accepted but pursued, a world where no one is limited by prejudice against D/deaf, disabled, or neurodivergent people.
Who is it for Gateway+ card holder* aged 12-18
Although this class is recommended for 12-18 year olds, please do enquire for suitability.

Gateway Card+ are free and give Hampshire residents access to community activities, play schemes and buddy schemes through the short breaks programme.
