Clay - Hand Building - Intermediate Skills Course- Evenings
10 Week Course (weekly 2 hr session)
This 10 week course, designed for those with some experience of clay, will advance your knowledge and skills to apply to your own projects.
Ceramic Artist, Emma Jayne Robertson, will share knowledge and expertise to guide you to create your own projects.
Each term there will be the introduction or revision of a skill or technique for hand-building or decorating clay, that you can then experiment with.
Summer Term choices: Wax Resist, Simple Glaze Theory, Using Oxides, Slip Decoration or Colouring Clay Bodies
Your tuition, use of tools and equipment plus a Small Kiln Firing at Bisque and Glaze temperature is included in your fee.
You will also be provided with 4kg of Stoneware Clay, 5 x 15ml pots of Underglaze Colour & 100ml of Transparent Glaze.
You can purchase extra materials & additional firings as needed.
There is also the option to pay as you go for all materials and firings.
Suitability: ADULTS Those with some experience (Please ask for advice.)
