If you have ever wondered 'are there any community choirs near me?' then the answer is firmly yes!
The local Ilkley choir is run by vocal teacher Ainjiel-Shaolee Clark. A local community choir first and foremost, we are also part of the national Rock Choir network, which has provided some exceptional performance opportunities. Members of Rock Choir have had the chance to meet and sing in front of many celebrities and public figures, including Will Smith, Sir Trevor McDonald and onscreen couple Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes from ITV1's This Morning at the UK's top venues including Wembley Stadium!
Rock Choir offers the chance to sing pop, rock and Motown songs together in a comfortable, unauditioned way. There are 10+ rehearsals a term and any commitment you make will fit nicely around the main holiday times in the year. Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
