Apple Weekend at Buckingham Garden Centre
OUR POPULAR APPLE WEEKEND RETURNS
A date for your diary - throughout the weekend of Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October from 10am to 4pm, on both days, will be our annual celebration of the apple.
We will be joined on both days by Gerry Edwards, who is the top R.H.S. fruit and fruit identification expert, so do bring in any apples you would like identified, two fruits and a leaf if possible.
We will be joined once again by members from the Mid Shires Orchard Group who will be demonstrating the process of apple juicing, so if you have apples you want juicing do bring them along. There is a small charge for this service.
Former BBC Blue Peter gardener Chris Collins will be joining us over the weekend in his role of head of horticulture of Garden Organics, our charity of the year. Chris will be judging our local school's Sunflower competition and he'll be on hand to answer any of your gardening questions and, of course, promoting gardening by organic methods.
