Heritage Open Day: The Victorian building is Grade II listed and is a meeting place for the Council and also used for Weddings and events. Paintings and artefacts are on display and a pop up museum on Sunday September 17th. There will be a viewing of the renowned local artist Robert Mendham as we have a new art collection donated to Eye from a generous descendant of the artist. Visitors will be able to visit the Council Chamber and see the newly hung paintings. A guide will be on hand to offer information and answer any questions you may have. There will be a pop up museum in the main hall for the Sunday celebrating the creative and local history of Eye. The indoor display will offer historical information about Eye in World War 2, a Make do and Mend campaign and the Eye First Scouts will be in attendance.
