Weston Light Orchestra and The Frankie Howerd OBE Trust
The Weston Light Orchestra (WLO) is playing in aid of The Frankie Howerd OBE Trust to raise funds for a defibrillator at the Trust's Community Café in Loxton. The WLO is famous for its easy-listening, Palm Court music. The WLO first started in 1919 and is well-known in the area for often playing for charity events and is in great demand. This concert contains a variety of well-known (and lesser-known) pieces and has two halves and an interval when drinks and light snacks will be served, all included in the ticket price. The virtuoso pianist, Richard Lennox, will be performing a couple of solo pieces, and there will also be a singer. There is plenty of parking in the church/village hall car park and for free in a nearby Sainsbury's.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets will be available on the door at just £10 (cash only, please) with all profits going to The Frankie Howerd OBE Trust.
