FRESHERS GET FREE FRIES THIS SEPTEMBER IN BRISTOL
McDonald’s UK is bringing its iconic FRIES VAN to Freshers Week at UWE Bristol this September – handing out a mega offering of free Fries to students.
Eagle-eyed students will no doubt recognise the McDonald’s van which regularly tours the country having been spotted at festivals throughout the summer, as well as celeb parties including Stormzy’s birthday bash at Thorpe Park and Maya Jama’s infamous Halloween celebrations.
Location: UWE Bristol
Date: 28th of September.
So, whether you are on your way to explore the campus, getting to know your flatmates or signing up to the various Freshers events on offer, the McDonald’s van will be on hand serving 2,000 FREE portions of Fries at each location.
The van will be on site from 11am until 4pm. Students will need to be quick though – as once they’re gone, they’re gone!
The FREE Fries will also be available at the following Freshers fairs:
- University of Birmingham (19th September)
- The University of Manchester (20th September)
Meanwhile, to encourage students to take care of their new hometowns, McDonald’s will also be working with University of Birmingham, The University of Manchester and UWE Bristol to organise litter picks at the end of each Freshers event.
With litter picks organised by every restaurant team across the UK and Ireland, McDonald’s crew collect on average 27 tonnes of litter every year, covering a total of 5,000 miles each week. In addition, McDonald’s has recycling units in over 1,100 of its restaurants, it recycles coffee cups from all coffee retailers and continues to develop a new industry standard for paper straws.
