One-day Workshop: Upcycled Glass Painting

The workshop will provide the opportunity to decorate, embellish or upcycle glass, mirror or plain white porcelain (non- food items only) items. The workshop will enable participants to learn about ceramic painting techniques, using cloisonne art nouveau inspired plant and animal designs. They will learn how to compose strong designs, mix and use outlining and ceramic colour palettes and practise these skills before then creating their own art nouveau inspired artefact to take away with them. Participants should bring glass/mirror/ceramic item(s) from home for this, bearing in mind that item painting areas will need to equate to A2-3 in overall coverage to ensure good use of time available! Flat and rounded items are all fine. Participants can also bring stimulus images if they wish. No prior experience is required or skill in arts or crafts. Materials are provided as well as tuition on how to make.
Suitable for adults and students aged 16+. Don't forget to bring a packed lunch!
