Tee up for the Solheim and Ryder Cups at American Golf New Malden
Europe’s leading golf retailer, American Golf, is welcoming the renowned Garmin Tour Truck to its New Malden retail store at Beverley Way, New Malden this Sunday (24th September) to celebrate the upcoming 2023 Solheim and Ryder Cups with a host of exciting virtual challenges, generous giveaways and expert advice for local golfers.
From 10am to 6pm, American Golf is inviting golfers of all levels to join the Garmin team for a unique opportunity to step into the shoes of golfing greats and take on this year’s Ryder Cup Marco Simone course – albeit virtually using the Garmin R10 Launch Monitor – and one lucky person will win a Garmin S70 GPS watch worth over £500 each.
There will also be the opportunity to take part in a wider nationwide Garmin Target Challenge across its retail stores between Friday 22nd September and Sunday 1st October (no bookings necessary). To enter, visitors into store simply need to hit three shots (virtually or on a range, depending on store location) as close as possible to 146 yards – representing the distance of the second hole at the Marco Simeone course - take a picture of their closest shot and post to their Instagram account, tagging @Garmingolf and @American_golf, along with #AGxGarmin. The individual whose ball gets the closest to the target will win the ultimate Garmin prize bundle, comprising an Approach S70 Golf GPS Watch, Approach R10 Portable Golf Launch Monitor, and a full set of Approach CT10 club tracking sensors.
Visitors will also have the chance to chat to the incredibly knowledgeable Garmin Tour Truck staff, learn about the different golfing aids available to support their game and take away exclusive Garmin merchandise such as tees and water bottles as a memento of their Ryder Cup experience.
