The South London Singers under our conductor Nicholas Wibberley with accompanist Jack Stone would like to invite you to our first concert of the 2023-24 season in which we will present a variety of choral and vocal works to cheer up the lengthening evenings.
Along with solo items, the choir will perform John Rutter's lively folk song suite 'Five Traditional Songs' which includes 'Dashing away with the smoothing iron’ and ‘Golden Slumbers.; Bob Chilcott's jolly 'Little Jazz Mass', Morten Lauridsen's beautiful 'Sure On This Shining Night' and, as a precursor to his anniversary year, Fauré's famous 'Pavane' in the less often heard version with choir. We hope that you will enjoy the programme.
Details of the Friends Scheme which gives reduced ticket prices can be found on our website.
Non-alcoholic refreshments will be available in the interval.
