A unique pop-up exhibition will be unveiled at The Corn Exchange in Leeds (near Sue Ryder’s local Wheatfield’s Hospice), on the 19th and 20th October 2023. The campaign aims to highlight the profound impact our senses have on the grieving process. Through a series of sensory objects and experiences, the exhibition will explore how touch, sight, sound, smell, and taste can trigger emotions around someone’s grief. The exhibition is free to visit, and everyone is welcome. It has been designed to highlight the impact our senses can have in evoking a range of emotions associated with grief, and to spark conversations around these moments, helping to reduce the sense of isolation many feel in their grief. There will also be a reflection space if people would like to take a moment to themselves following the exhibition.
