A Tudor Yuletide
On the 25th and 26th daies of November, Paycockes House in the fair village of Coggeshall, Essex wyll be the setting for the Tudor Yuletide of thys year. Around five and twenty goode Tudor souls from the year 1517 wyll be about the playce, for the celebrations.
Master Thomas Paycocke and hys goodwyfe Anne have some guests to stay and the Housekeeper Margery, cooks and household staff are working hard to keep pace with the goings on. High Board Feast is to be served at midday for the Master, Mistress and guests, the lower status folke to be fed thereafter.
Mistress Anne hath commissioned puppeteers and musician for the entertainment of all and mayhap some dancing could be had also.
Although the guests have the protection of Men at Arms, it doth not stop one un-invited person from gaining entrance and causing much confusion and muddle amongst the household and indeed for the Master and Mistress alike.
