For Castle Players’ 50th anniversary we will be presenting Blue Remembered Hills. Dennis Potter’s iconic tale charts the activities of seven English children, played by adults, on a summer afternoon during World War II. In a wood, a field and a barn, they play, fight, fantasise and swagger. Their aggressions, fears, hostilities and rivalries are a microcosm of adult interaction. Funny, poignant, truthful and ultimately chilling – a great piece of theatre not to be missed.
The play will be preceded by some performances of the brilliant works of William Barnes, our very own Dorset hero.
In addition to our usual venue of Lytchett Matravers, we are excited to be able to take this very special production to Milborne St Andrew, for one night only!
