Deservedly acclaimed as o ne of Ayckbourn's best loved and funniest
plays - and a really great start to your own festivities.
Set in an average suburban house , this is the tale of the night before
Christmas - when various house guests arrive - and the subsequent
three days when they start to wish they hadn't! Neville has, once
again, forgotten to buy his wife Belinda a gift. Uncle Harvey is glued to
the TV watching a non-stop marathon of action films. Neville's friend
Eddie and his wife Pattie are practically at each other's throats. Phyllis
slowly gets sloshed on the cooking wine while h er inept husband
Bernard is intent on his annual, terrible, puppet show. All sounds pretty
normal, until Belinda's sister Rachel invites the handsome Clive to the
home - a writer friend no one in the family knows - and then things
really start to go awry. Directed by Jennifer Scott-Reid and featuring
virtuoso performances from a delightfully talented cast. A real seasonal
treat for all!
