A Festive Christmas
Preston Orpheus Choir invites you to A Festive Christmas with Music Director Dan Adams, accompanist Paul Greenhalgh and featuring Freckleton Brass Band.
Christmas music old and new with plenty opportunities for audience participation including “O come all ye faithful”, “The holly and the ivy”, “God rest ye merry gentlemen” and others – who doesn’t love singing Christmas carols!
There’s an eclectic range of items being sung by the choir including the opening part of Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Morten Lauridsen’s sublime arrangement of “O magnum mysterium” and “A Christmas Blizzard”, a suite of nine songs arranged by our Music Director Dan Adams. Included in this is “Last Christmas” but don’t worry, you won’t be Whamageddoned – that only applies to the original version!
