Megalosaurus Month: Dino Discovery Days
Join The Geological Society for Megalosaurus Month this February!
During February 2024 we will be hosting an unusual visitor in our Upper Library at our historic Burlington House venue, in Piccadilly.
A life-sized replica of a skeleton of a Megalosaurus will be the centre-piece of celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of the first scientific description of a dinosaur.
From 13-16 February and on Saturday 24th February we are hosting a number of free, family-friendly Dinosaur Discovery Days where you can meet our Megalosaurus and take part in some exciting, engaging and interactive activities.
Visit between 10am and 4pm to journey into the world of the Megalosaurus, where visitors are invited to delve into dinosaurs through their senses. Our activities will offer an up-close, hands-on experience – designed to spark curiosity, nurture learning, and unveil the wonders of the prehistoric creatures and science of studying them. Say goodbye to half-term boredom and bring the whole family!
