Speranza (Flute, Cello & Piano Trio) Afternoon Concerts at St Mary's
Somerset-based trio Speranza - Kath & Charles Sugden (flutes & cello) & Jacquelyn Bevan (piano) – present a series of Wednesday afternoon concerts at St Mary’s Church, under the title Music of Hope. The spring concerts are:
Wednesday 24th January 2pm Anticipation & Reflection
Music of youth and maturity: Ravel, Mendelssohn, Debussy
Wednesday 28th February 2pm Love & Longing
Romantic music for Valentine’s Day: Saint-Saëns, Gaubert, Gershwin and more.
Wednesday 20th March 2pm Hope & New Growth
Celebrating the coming of Spring: music by Haydn and Lili Boulanger.
A light lunch and refreshments will be available from 12.30 in the church as part of the warm space scheme. The concerts last around 45 minutes and entry is by donation with a suggested minimum £5 per person.
