This ½ acre sloping garden blends a cool English woodland look with hotter Mediterranean styles and, with its bamboos and bananas, travels even further afield, all the way to the Antipodes. A particular joy lies in the garden's heart where woodland opens out to reveal a sunny glade packed with alpine delights. Barbara is a compulsive plants person, so come prepared to buy some interesting plants.
