Britain's What's On Event Guide
Abeto Guitar Duo
The Abeto Guitar Duo was formed by Georgina Dadson and Matthew House whilst studying for their masters at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Since 2020 they have enjoyed performing across England and Wales, including Cardiff Guitar Festival and as returning artists to the Dillington Guitar Festival. They have commissioned works by Chris Stell which they recorded in the summer of 2023 and the duo will be recording their debut album with Deux-Elles records this year.
Georgina is passionate about teaching and advocates that musical education is invaluable in gaining confidence, developing self expression, as well as assisting in other areas of learning. These beliefs have taken her into care homes, special educational needs schools and nurseries. She also works for Live Music Now which provides music performances in settings where music is less available. Georgina is also a member of the National Youth Guitar Fellowship Ensemble which includes mentoring the younger ensembles
Mathew is already an accomplished performer and has played in venues such as the Wigmore hall, King's Place and the Royal festival Hall as well as in Europe. He holds teaching positions at Wycliffe College, Badminton School and Tockington Manor School. He is also a keen arranger and publishes through his own company, Rosette Editions.
