Trio Paradis Café Concert: Iberia at St John's Church Hall, Keynsham
Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Lisa Betteridge - violin and Linda Stocks - cello) play a monthly cafe concert on the last Friday of each month (except December) at 1pm at St John's Church Hall: informal feel-good community events with a pop-up café open from 12.15pm where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes, and enjoy live music. It’s c£3.50 for a drink and a cake.
Iberia is a collection of music by - mostly - Spanish composers to bring us some sunshine during February, including Turina’s Circulo and works by de Falla, Fernandez-Arbos, Albeniz, Pauline Viardot and others.
Concerts last c45mins and entrance - or rather, exit! - is by pay-what-you-feel donation, with a retiring collection.There's no need to book, just turn up early to be sure of a table and the best choice of cake, as the concerts are very popular.
