Brahms: Ein deutsches Requiem
Join York Musical Society chorus and orchestra at York Barbican for an evening of music by Brahms and Dvorák. Conducted by David Pipe and featuring soloists Anita Watson (soprano) and Alex Ashworth (bass), Brahms' beautiful requiem will be sung in German, as originally written. The programme also includes Dvorák's exultant Te Deum and Brahms' Academic Festival Overture.
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost from £7 - £26 and are available in advance from Ticketmaster, or on the door on the night. There are concessions for students and young people aged 13-18. Children under 13 are free, if accompanied by a paying adult.
