Brixton Chamber Orchestra day of free musical experiences
The Brixton Chamber Orchestra, invites the community to join them for a day of free musical experiences at Brixton Recreation Centre’s 3G Football Pitch on March 16th, 2024 - as part of the Brixton Performs Festival, organised by Brixton Bid.
1pm-2pm
Discover the Orchestra!
Free workshop for 8-12 year olds. Discover the orchestra with our players through live demos and musical games. Children will also get the chance to get stuck in and try out different instruments for themselves.
3pm-6pm
Open rehearsal
Witness firsthand how orchestras practise. Get a behind-the-scenes look into the orchestra's preparation for the concert later that evening.
7.30pm-9pm
Concert
Free classical concert from a 35-piece orchestra. We’ve put together a programme of lively classical music and Irish tunes.
