Our Wild Senses - an exploration in nature

Join a Wild Things instructor to reawaken our senses to better engage with the natural world. We will go through each sense and use a range of exercises to tune in and pay attention again to what we have muted in the modern world.

The day highlights of the day include using binoculars, and hand lenses to see more detail in the world we can see; engage our sense of touch and smell in plant identification; forage for what is
seasonably available to taste the safe, edible plants that grow in the woodlands; and learn some fundamental bird song identification.

This day will be wholly outside, with time spent stationary, please come prepared to be out in conditions for the day. We will also be moving through the woodland on some rougher ground, if you have any questions about whether this event is suitable for you, please get in touch.

Please let us know of any allergies, and dietary requirements that you have as we will be tasting foods and flavours during the day.

Bring water, a packed lunch and any food you will want during the day. The day will run from 10.30am until 3pm. Dates and venues will be announced soon and the event will open for bookings. This event is aimed at adults, and we are sorry but we cannot have dogs attend
