Verdi’s Aida at The Stag, Sevenoaks

Verdi's Aida at The Stag, Sevenoaks

A favourite with audiences around the world, this tragic story of doomed love in the time of Ancient Egypt draws its appeal from the impassioned arias, magnificent choruses, including The Grand March, and exhilarating orchestral music that highlight Verdi at the peak of his composing prowess, all set in the time of Ancient Egypt.

Kentish Opera provides a fantastic opportunity to try staged opera with a full chorus and orchestra at affordable prices in local venues where you are close to the action - which makes a huge difference to the experience. Aida, in particular, is rarely staged outside large opera houses so come along and prepare to be blown away!

One of Verdi's most dramatic works, this fully staged production sung in English features professional soloists from major opera companies, accompanied by a full orchestra and the superb Kentish Opera chorus.

Directed by Stephen Anthony Brown with Robyn Sevastos as Musical Director this is a production not to be missed. Costumes designed by Carol Stevenson and Alice Harvey and set designed by Harry Stevenson.
