Traditional Flowers in Tezhip with Nagihan Seymour

The Art of Illumination/Tezhip, which means ornamenting with gold, is a traditional Turkish art form originally used for decorating precious books and manuscripts. This workshop with Nagihan Seymour will include an overview of the history and origins of this ancient art form. Attendees will learn, step by step, how to draw and paint one of the traditional stylized floral motifs, which is the 'Hatayi'.
