SSEN Transmission Line IDCA-PUBLIC Meeting 6 June 2024 (3pm-7pm)
All are INVITED to view/discuss the proposed SSEN Beauly to Peterhead 800Kv Transmission Line at an IDCA-PUBLIC Meeting on 6 June, 2024 (3pm-7pm). SSEN Transmission staff will be present for members of the public to share their views on the next phase of development for two infrastructure projects in the north east of Scotland, which are scheduled to enable the connection of renewable energy from across the north of Scotland and play a critical role in the fight against climate change and securing the country’s future energy supply.
Views are being sought at events across the north east of Scotland on this potential 400Kv overhead power lines on very high pylon towers and on route options for a new line between Beauly and Peterhead, West from South Elgin to East through Inchberry local area and over the River Spey and Ordiequish forest.
The Peterhead to Beauly overhead line project will connect onshore and offshore renewable wind power turbines and transport it from source to areas of demand across the country. The draft route options, which also include the connection to new proposed substations along its route at Blackhillock near Keith and New Deer, have been determined following feedback received during the first round of consultation events last year. Coupled with detailed assessments and studies, SSEN Transmission is now looking for feedback on these draft W-E routes and options which will inform more detailed alignments for the new overhead electricity transmission line through the Local IDCA Inchberry area.

FREE OPEN Meeting Wed 27 March 2024 (3pm to 7pm) for all interested. This power line will pass through the IDCA area on very tall pylons.
