Blowzabella Bal/Concert and Dance Workshop
A joyful night of dancing to the brilliant band Blowzabella!
Since they burst onto the English folk scene in 1978, Blowzabella has acquired ‘legendary’ status, not only in this country but right across Europe. The band continues to exhilarate and inspire listeners, dancers and musicians with exciting new material and their “inimitable, driving, drone-based wall of sound”.
Members of the band will kick off the evening with a dance workshop suitable for all, including beginners, before the full band takes the stage for the bal / concert. There will be seating available for those who just want to come and listen.
Blowzabella is Andy Cutting – diatonic button accordion; Jo Freya – vocals, saxophones, clarinet; Paul James – vocals, bagpipes, saxophones; David Shepherd – violin; Barn Stradling – bass guitar; Jon Swayne – bagpipes, saxophones.
