East Hanningfield village open morning
We are Hanna's Field Charity, a volunteer group who manage the hall and playing field in East Hanningfield.
We want you to join us in finding out how to successfully get solar energy for yourselves either domestically or as part of a community building scheme.
It is also a morning to showcase our village organisations and all the activites that are held in the hall ( includes sport's hall and equipment) and on the playing field.
We are especially keen to explain about our solar roof installation and how a small village managed such a huge undertaking. We will have our solar panel provider there with specialist information and a stand on our particular project and how it was funded. There will be people to answer all your questions.
The aim is to reduce our future electricity bills and we want to share this experience with others who are managing community buildings as well as ordinary householders.
There will also be stalls showing organisations such as the WI, Parish Council, Preschool, Church, dog training and Chelmsford dog wardens with advice and others. Hopefully some of our hall users will be there showing what they have to offer but all will have some information on offer.
There will be some games for children. Free refreshments all morning.
Upstairs in our loft library we will have our regular, previously loved ,book sale with hundreds of good quality second hand books at very low prices.
Sir John Whittingdale MP will enveil a plague acknowledging the various funding sources.
We are extremely grateful for all the supporting fund sources.
These are ACRE(Queen's Platinum Jubilee fund),City Council's Greener Chelmsford Grant, Tom Amos Charity, J.Gard Centenary fund and EH Parish Council and WI. Also fundraising activites involving villagers support was vital.
