Hardwick Hill - Open Garden for NGS
The main lawn ends in a haha overlooking fields and views stretching to the Malvern Hills. The 5 acre garden was replanted and landscaped 20 yrs ago. Full of mature trees inc Copper Beeches, a Corsican Pine and a pair of Mulberry trees. Long borders lined with espaliered Malus Robusta beside an ornamental pond lead to a Summer House with wild flower meadow and bee hives. An orchard with chicken house, raised bed vegetable garden and natural swimming pond. The garden contains a variety of hedging from wild roses, willow, weeping pear to buckthorn and hornbeam.
Annuals grown in the greenhouse with dahlias and salvias wintered there. In July, beds are full of phlox, delphiniums, sedums, alliums and grasses.
