The Mount - Open Garden for NGS

Two acres surround the house. To the north is a renovated walled kitchen garden with trained fruit trees, roses, raised veg beds as well as a colourful herbaceous border. To the east is an old grass tennis court that had turned to scrubland but now has a mown labyrinth running across it with a small nuttery at one end surrounding a wildlife pond. To the south west of the house through a rose covered archway is a white & yellow terrace garden that sits above a new brick wall that we built a few years ago. Along its path weve planted a pleached lime line, with bearded irises and lavenders. Further downhill there are the brick remains of Victorian glasshouses where we grow perennial fruit & veg, along with fruit trees, picking flowers and dahlias. Countryside views.
