Barnet Medieval Festival

Barnet Medieval Festival
Come and enjoy London and the Home Counties’ very own spectacular annual medieval festival, recreating and commemorating the lives and times of those who took part in the dramatic Wars of the Roses, and the decisive Battle of Barnet, fought in 1471 between King Edward IV and Warwick the King maker. The festival features 200+ participants, ladies and knights in armour on horseback, foot soldiers, battle re-enactments, cannon firing and archery, living history encampments, minstrels, music and dance, C15th cooking, craft demonstrations, entertainments, medieval market and community stalls, have a go archery, food and drink including bars, plus book signing and an exhibition of beautiful medieval paintings by renowned artist Graham Turner. A fabulous full day out for everyone!

Parking is limited so please walk or cycle to the festival if possible. Bus routes nearby. Nearest tube is High Barnet (28 mins walk). Drivers may wish to note that the festival is just inside the ULEZ zone.

The festival is actively recruiting volunteers to assist with staging this great annual show (as many hands make light work!), so please contact us if interested!
