Sherfield On Loddon Village Fete
June 8th is the date this year for the ever popular Sherfield Village Fete and Dog Show. Sherfield Village Green once again play host to this fabulous family day out that will no doubt draw the crowds again: featuring the Medieval Combat Society with their sword and combat displays, as well as dancing displays, Basing Clog Morris Dancers, Classic Car display and parade, Archery, Grand Raffle and the annual tug of war ‘Tussle of the Taverns’. There’s so much on offer for children with Juggling Jake’s circus skills tent, Hollycross Farm Pets, face painting, children’s races, teacup roundabout and our giant inflatable slide and bungees. There’s also an array of great stalls - both commercial sellers and local talents, the ever competitive dog show, traditional fete games such as crockery smashing and coconut shy. A fantastic array of food and drink is on offer with a beer tent, cider stall, wood fired pizzas, bbq, loaded nachos and fries, quesadillas, gyros, premium coffee and waffles, tea and prosecco tent and ice cream vans. We also have live music including jazz and rock. This year we are also proud to be raising funds for our village hall and church as well as our chosen charity which this year is Home-Start, North West Hampshire. Come and join us for an afternoon of fun.
