Geddington Green Fair
The Great Big Green Week is the UK’s biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature. Following the success of our event in October 2022, we’ll be hosting another Green Fair at Geddington Church on Sat 8th June 2024 from 1 to 4.30 pm.
There will be information and activities for all ages. Brightwayz will be organising a pedal-powered smoothie maker and e-cargo bike rides. They’ll also be doing free cycle security marking and cycle maintenance (first come, first served). If you have a spare bike that you no longer use, donations are welcome for refurbishing and use within the local community. Inside church, we will have a Treasure Hunt and craft activities. You’ll also be able to purchase Fairtrade and eco products and second hand books.
Organisations represented currently include: Geddington Brickyard Garden; Hedgehog Lodge Rescue; Waste Knot upcycling; Brightwayz; Save Weekley Hall Wood; Let it Dangle recycled crafts; Grow Your Greens; Natural Ise; Food for Thought; The Bee Friendly Store; Simple Chic Upholstery Furnishings; Stronger As One Northants; Kettering Green Party and Mark Avery (conservation books).
