Two-time Olivier Award-winning and critically acclaimed British actress, singer and musical theatre star Janie Dee (Follies, nominated best actress in a musical; Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends; The Motive and the Cue) will turn audiences’ attention towards the climate crisis in a stunningly devised performance show. Janie Dee’s Beautiful World Cabaret is a playfully informative and inspirational journey of humanity and nature through song that is, at its heart, always hopeful.
This incredible show will feature a range of music from artists and composers including Sondheim, Sting, Peggy Lee, and Vivaldi – with also a poignant addition of a Shakespeare monologue – where Janie Dee’s renowned versatility will shine through as she delivers showstopping performances. Adapting to address different issues currently circling the news cycle, Dee shifts between cabaret and spoken word to explore how we can be more mindful of the world we live on.
