Ripon City Photographic Society Annual Photography Exhibition

Come and enjoy our very popular, free, Annual Photography Exhibition, 9am to 4pm at the Allhallowgate Methodist Church Hall, Victoria Grove, Ripon, HG4 1LG, (opposite bus station). Ripon City Photographic Society members will be displaying plenty of prints and digital images . The event will be opened by Simon Hills, President of the Royal Photographic Society who will also give a presentation around 1030 a.m. During the afternoon RCPS members will host an optional 'drop in' session whereby visitors can ask questions about cameras and photography. Refreshments will be available including tea, coffee, savouries and cake.

The venue is fully accessible to people with mobility aids and there is an adjoining public pay and display car park, another nearby and, if you are really lucky, time-limited free street parking (with a disc) just outside! Free entry (although we welcome donations!) and all are welcome.

As well as the Photography Exhibition the city of Ripon has probably the best Law and Order trail in the country with The Poor Law Museum, Courthouse Museum and the Police and Prison Museum, all within walking distance of each other and the Exhibition venue, as is Ripon Cathedral. It also has numerous independent shops and cafes worth exploring. Nearby, Newby Hall (Historic House) and Fountains Abbey (National Trust) are well worth a visit so why not make a weekend of it?...
