Rare Breeds Weekend 10th - 11th August
Battersea Park Children's Zoo is proud to care for many rare farm breeds, including Oxford Sandy and Black Pigs, Bagot Goats, and Sussex Chickens. To celebrate these fantastic animals, the zoo is dedicating an entire weekend to them!
Visitors can learn all about the rare breeds and their importance at extra keeper talks, meet resident sheep Tag and Hubie, get crafty in the Hive cabin with activities and games, and enter a charity raffle to win a family goat experience (all raffle proceeds go to the Rare Breeds Survival Trust).
Activities include:
Meet the Sheep! Get to know resident Valais Blacknose Sheep Tag & Hubie in a special meet and greet (see chalkboard outside the shop for timings, FREE with admission).
Rare Breed animal keeper talks: Find out more about the wonderful rare breed animals (see chalkboard outside the shop for timings, FREE with admission).
Charity raffle! Enter for the chance to win a meet the goat experience for up to 4 people (£1 per raffle ticket).
Crafts and games in the Hive cabin! Enjoy some rare breed crafts and games (some paid options within the cabin).
