Blythburgh Station was opened in 1879 and closed in 1929 - it is now being restored, and visitors can see the progress. Demonstration freight trains will run, using our unique 88-year-old solar-charged locomotive with replica wagons, as you would have seen on the railway 100 years ago. There are guided tours of the site and its original features including the award-winning restored Victorian Goods Shed, with archeological displays. A large live-steam model railway will run.
