Heritage Open Day: September 2024 is the centenary of Ipswich County Library. During the Heritage Open Days you will be able to view an exhibition curated by Suffolk Libraries and Suffolk Archives and take part in our Stone Seeking Quest. View an exhibition that celebrates 100 years of Ipswich County Library, an impressive building located in the heart of Ipswich. See some of the original plans for the building and pictures of how most of the library used to look. The Northgate Room with its painted glass windows, moulded ceilings and oak bookcases is virtually unchanged.
