Heritage Open Day: The amazing Langley Cross. Sculpted in aluminium by Geoffrey Clarke, it is probably the artist’s biggest commission. The amazing Langley Cross stands some 13 or so metres tall and is housed in All Saints & Martyrs Church. Sculpted in aluminium by Geoffrey Clarke, it was cast using pioneer techniques that he himself developed. Sadly Geoffrey Clarke died in 2014 and since then a lot has been written about his work, which can be found all over the country. Langley is truly blessed to have this breath-taking work of art.
