New Brighton Heritage and Information Centre

Heritage Open Day: Very few towns know exactly when they were created. In 1832 James Atherton. Very few towns know exactly when they were created. In 1832 James Atherton, (a business man living in what was then the well to do area of Everton in Liverpool) bought an area of sand dunes and set out to create a ‘New’ Brighton for the north of England.

To discover more about the creation of New Brighton and its once iconic structures, which are now our rich heritage, just call in.
